Initial consultation
A detailed medical case history will be taken and a full range of neurological and orthopaedic tests will be carried out to assess mechanical movement of the joints and spine. The report of findings and treatment plan will be clearly explained to you using spinal models before treatment commences.
If x-rays are required to assist in diagnosis, we can arrange this on the day or obtain copies of any recent x-rays or MRI scans you have had. We use the x-ray facilities at Herts and Essex Hospital in Bishops Stortford and the Rivers Hospital in High Wych.
Should you require further investigations for an underlying condition for which other treatment may be appropriate you will be referred to your GP or relevant specialist.

after your treatment
The next step following treatment is spinal rehabilitation with our exercise therapist Lorraine Kromann-Terp. Patients will be provided with a personalised rehabilitation exercise program based on their specific needs, objectives and current state of health.
The emphasis is on improving posture and function of the spine. Having had your Chiropractic adjustments the next step is to strengthen the muscles to support the realignment ensuring optimum function. The exercises are safe and effective and can easily be done at home.
Lorraine has a nursing background and trained as a Personal Trainer in 1990 at the London YMCA. She has worked with Dr Terp since 1992. She worked alongside Dr Terp in Sicily with the womens USA Water Polo team during the qualifying rounds for the 2000 Olympics. They are both keen athletes with a particular interest in skiing, surfing and triathlon.
